ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hi! I'm Meagan, the artist behind Meagan Rose Design. 

I've always been drawn to making things with my hands, but painting has been the thread running through nearly every season of my life. I earned my BFA with a concentration in painting from George Mason University in 2015, and what began as a small collection of commissioned oil paintings in 2018 has grown and changed right alongside my family.

After becoming a mother, I temporarily traded my oil paints for watercolors. They were easier to pick up in the little pockets of time that came with raising young children, and they opened up an entirely new way for me to create. Over the years, I've painted homes and pets, designed wedding and event pieces, created invitations and custom artwork, and explored all sorts of creative projects along the way.

Today, I'm finding my way back to the art that first captured my heart: oil painting.

I'm especially drawn to peaceful landscapes, the beauty of nature, and the little details that make an ordinary moment feel extraordinary. I love exploring the relationship between art, faith, and everyday life, and finding subtle ways to weave beauty and meaning into the things I create.

My Catholic faith has become an increasingly important part of both my family life and my creative journey. I'm intentionally making more room for Catholic-inspired artwork that feels reverent yet approachable—pieces that incorporate faith, symbolism, light, and the beauty of God's creation. My hope is to create art that offers a gentle reminder of faith and grace, bringing a little more meaning and beauty into the spaces we call home.

While I'm returning to oil painting and exploring new original collections, watercolor and custom artwork will always have a place in my studio. From home portraits and beloved pets to special event artwork and meaningful keepsakes, I still love creating pieces that tell someone's story.

And beyond the paintbrush, there's a whole lot of creativity happening here.

I'm also a mother of three, and motherhood has shaped the way I approach both art and life. Between family life, homeschooling, and the many little projects that seem to find their way onto my table, I've discovered that creativity doesn't always have to look like sitting in front of a canvas. Sometimes it's a painting, sometimes it's a handmade project with the children, and sometimes it's simply finding a new way to make an ordinary day feel special.

That creative spirit has even grown into a small collection of homeschool guides and resources, inspired by the activities, faith-based ideas, and meaningful learning experiences I've created for my own family.

At its heart, Meagan Rose Design is about art, faith, motherhood, and the beauty of creating a life filled with meaning. It's a place where I can share what I'm making, what I'm learning, and the little things that inspire me along the way.

I like to think of it as blooming with grace—making room for creativity, growing through every season, and finding beauty in the ordinary.
